What is EPOS technology and why does it matter?
EPOS (Exact Positioning Operating System) uses satellite GPS for centimeter-accurate navigation. Unlike traditional mowers requiring buried wires, EPOS models let you define virtual boundaries through the app—no digging required. This means easier installation, complete flexibility, and no risk of damaged wires during landscaping.
Which Automower model is right for my property?
Model selection depends on lawn size: 410 iQ (up to 0.5 acres), 420 iQ (up to 1 acre), 435 iQ AWD (up to 0.9 acres with steep slopes), 440 iQ (up to 2 acres), and 550H EPOS (up to 2.5 acres). We offer free consultations to recommend the perfect model for your property.
How long does installation take?
Professional installation typically takes 2-4 hours depending on property size. This includes charging station setup, GPS mapping, virtual boundary configuration, testing, and complete owner training.

What's included with purchase?
Most models include the Automower, charging station, EPOS reference station (included with iQ models, sold separately for 550H), power supply, and documentation. Professional installation is available and recommended.
Operation
How does it handle rain and weather?
Automowers are fully weatherproof and designed to mow in rain. You can set weather-based scheduling through the app if you prefer to pause during heavy rain.
Is it safe around children and pets?
Yes. Multiple safety features include lift sensors that stop blades immediately when lifted, tilt sensors, collision detection, and PIN code security. The small razor blades are much safer than traditional mower blades.
How loud is it?
Extremely quiet at about 60 decibels—quieter than normal conversation. You can run it at night without disturbing anyone.
What happens to grass clippings?
Automowers mulch clippings into tiny pieces that decompose quickly, naturally fertilizing your lawn. No bagging or disposal needed.
Maintenance
How much maintenance is required?
Minimal. Replace blades every 1-3 months (5-minute job), clean the mower monthly, and check for software updates through the app. We offer comprehensive maintenance plans for completely hands-off care.
What about winter storage?
In cold climates, store your Automower indoors during winter. We offer winterization and spring startup services.

How do I control my Automower?
The Automower Connect app (iOS/Android) provides complete control: adjust schedules, change cutting heights, create work areas and stay-out zones, monitor location and status, and receive notifications—all from anywhere.
Does it require WiFi?
The Automower operates independently following its programmed schedule. WiFi or cellular connectivity is only needed for remote control and monitoring through the app.
